These books all have great, multidemensional characters and a quick plot that will have you turning those pages as fast as possible. You will be mumbling to yourself, “one more chapter”. 📚This is my favorite Emily Henry book yet! And I really enjoyed her other books as well, but this one was so good!
👩💻Nora-High fashion, botox injecting, Pelton riding, manolo wearing, NY City dwelling, literary agent. A powerhouse. If she was a man she’d be called a leader, but since she’s a no-nonsense woman, she’s called a “shark”. “She’s always moving forward and she’s out for blood” some would say.
👨💻Then there’s Charlie- broody, pretentious editor who refuses to work with the author that Nora is representing. Which is ridiculous because she only represents the best.

Small town romance trope!
A book set in a small town bookstore!
With characters who love and talk books!
Witty banter!
Bad dates!
Funny nod to predictable rom coms!
📚What I didn’t love:
Just one thing: Nora’s sister calls her “Sissy”…I find that so annoying. ( Like nails on a chalkboard. )

Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez
I’ve been binging Abby Jimenez’s books and find them delightful! Part of Your World was just as good as I had hoped it would be.
-Successful doctor meets small town, younger man and has to decide if they can make their lives fit. It doesn’t seem likely since they live hours apart and they come from “different sides of the track.” Throw in a baby goat and a guy that can fix anything and you have a match❤️
One thing that annoys me with #romcombooks is the instant love connection, but this story covers gas lighting, the importance of choosing the right friends, and not judging others, so it makes up for this. I don’t remember it being too 🌶. I also listened to the audio and it was good! I love dual narrators and @justjuliawhelan and @zacharywebber do such a great job bringing the story to life.

There is a reason you’ve probably seen this one all over #bookstagram-it is so so good! I highly recommend this one goes to the top of your tbr.

🚤you know the kind of book you can’t put down? And when is finally done you realize you were reading for far too long in the sun without flipping or applying more sunscreen? And now you’re very burnt on the backside of you? This is that kind of book. 🌞
🚤 this is a great romance with substance. Tragedy, domestic violence, fame, wealth, family pressure, friendships and elitism are swirling around the sweet love between Cate and Joe.
🚤what I loved: everything. The cover, the drama, the sadness, dual POV, all of it.
🚤if I could change one thing: very minor, but when they changed POV they recapped from either Cate or Joe’s POV what we just read, so sometimes it seemed redundant.

🔨This is my favorite Mary Kay Andrews book that I’ve read so far. I didn’t think the romance made sense as there didn’t seem to be much chemistry (but I found that lacking in The Newcomers as well so it’s probably just me). Otherwise, I enjoyed this one and think it will be on the top of everyone’s beach read pile in the summer.
