This book describes ‘how to live’ by a brilliant doctor while he is dying. His memory will live on through this book, his wife and the daughter he left behind. Emotional and well written. You will laugh while you are crying.
Minda Kaling is hilarious. I was riding on a train from Budapest to Munich and I was actually laughing out loud. This book made the train ride go by so fast. Her brutal honesty and transparency makes me believe we could become fast friends. Go buy this and read it. I cannot wait to read her other books.
I could not put this WWII story down. Louis Zamperini is so resilient and his story of survival is incredible. Read the book, I heard the movie does not even come close to doing this book justice.
I read this book while I was training for the Rock and Roll half marathon in Las Vegas. I needed some extra inspiration and this book was perfect. I really think you would like this book whether you are a runner or not.
This book is not only good for hikers, but for anyone going through self realization/self discovery. I would imagine anyone who hikes solo over 1,000 miles would emerge as a different individual: Stronger, healthier and mentally tough. If only I could take 6 months off of work to hike.
