🗼Maggie Finds Her Muse by Dee Ernst
🗼Genre: women’s fiction. Romance
🗼What it’s about: 48 year old Maggie, accomplished author, has hit a major writing block. When she turns to her handsome, sexy boyfriend for help, she realizes he is extremely self absorbed and she dumps him. However this does not make it any easier to begin writing her book. The words just won’t come to her. Up against a deadline, with a grumpy agent on her heels, she flies to Paris, hoping a change of scenery helps her. She needs a muse. Something or someone to get the flow of words from her head to the page. She soon finds there are plenty of distractions with the museums, wine and food. In addition, there are plenty of beaus to choose from, including her ex husband who happens to be on vacation in the same city. Will she find her muse so she can write? Amongst all the French (and American) men will she find love? Will she finish her book on time or leave thousands of adoring fans without the third book?
-What a liked: this book isn’t as predictable as most romance books. A fun, easy, read that had me smiling as Maggie found herself in odd situations. The ending reminded me of Knotting Hill.
-What I didn’t like: Maggie seems to be older than 48. I still think 48 is pretty young but some of the things she does would be old for a 48 year old. I think that threw me off. If she was 10 years older then parts of the book would make more sense.
🗼Who should read this: add this to your TBR if you like slow burn romances you’ll like this book. Slightly open door 🌶. This book will be available April 20th 2021.
